Emma is a mountain leader with a passion for making the outdoors more accessible, in particular to those with physical disabilities.
In 2015 Emma sustained a spinal cord injury, following many years of neurological rehab she returned to the mountains. But on noticing how difficult it was to access the mountains with a physical disability Emma decided she wanted to change this for others. Emma now offers slow paced walks either in the mountains or in other locations to help people prepare for mountain challenges.
Emma is insured, has outdoor first aid and mental health first aid qualifications. She is also training to become a life coach. Emma volunteers with several charities that support disabled people.

PEAK DISTRICT WEEKEND

£150 per person

This weekend is aimed at those looking to challenge themselves and meet new people. It is the perfect weekend if you are training for a bigger expedition, or just want to see if you can manage walking two consecutive days. There will be a small  group of 4 people staying at the bunkhouse.

Arrive Friday evening, a light supper will be served and introductions.

On Saturday we will head for the ridge line above Castleton, which provides some great training and fantastic views. There are many ways to reduce this walk if needed. Post walk on Saturday there will be a creative coaching workshop.

On Sunday we will do another shorter walk with the aim of getting away by lunchtime.

This weekend is suitable for those with disabilities who can walk independently over rugged terrain and climb stairs independently. Please contact Emma direct with any questions.
